Welcome aboard the USS Tokyo!

TokyoPatchSmall.png"Sometimes you have to fight for the things that are worth fighting for." - Arrietty.

The year is 2397.

With the recent escalations of violence and unrest within the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, Starfleet recognised a need for a fast ship that can be deployed as a rapid response vessel. After six years of development Starfleet Corps of Engineers started to lay down the spaceframe for four new carrier type vessels, the USS Armitage, USS Tokyo, USS Oceania and the USS Broadsword.

The Armitage Class vessels are an upgraded version of the highly successful Akira class starships. They are designed as rapid response attack carriers, capable of high speed deployment of fighters and auxiliary craft as well as specialist operations in deep space. These first two vessels of the class, USS Armitage and USS Tokyo were launched in 2390 and have been in service since.

The USS Tokyo is the second vessel of the class and is currently commanded by Captain Taiga Aisaka. The Tokyo's main mission is to patrol the Federation's Neutral Zones, shipping lanes and eliminate any threats to protect the security of the Federation. From managing civilian traffic to engaging potential invasion forces the Armitage classes are built to defend the security of the Federation and this is the Tokyo's main mission.

» USS Tokyo Celebrates 10 Years!

10 Years!

Yes, you read that correctly!

Today marks the founding of the USS Tokyo, which was Ten Years ago today! In all honesty, I never thought that this ship would last ten years. It is a milestone that few Star Trek Sims/RPG's ever hit. The average life of a Star Trek sim is 4-5 years, so hitting 10 is remarkable.

Hitting this milestone is not just a testiment to the ship, but also to its crew and every single one of you. I often describe this ship as a home, and a family and we have now some of…

Merry Christmas!

On behalf of the command staff of the USS Tokyo, I would like to take a moment to wish every single one of you a Merry Christmas for 2024! We've had an absolutely fantastic year! I am so proud of every single member of this crew. It's not often that a group of writers gel so well together and pull it off not only fantastically, but in their own style!

This year we had one of our longest running missions in the entire history of the Tokyo and you guys were throwing ideas, subplots and everything into it!…

To all crew!

First of all I want to thank you all for another fantastic year aboard the Tokyo! Whether you've only been here a month, or numerous years, you have all been a wonderful crew and group of people to write with! The Tokyo has become more than just a Star Trek RPG on the internet. We have become a close knit group of friends, and family! I can't thank you enough for all of your efforts and support throughout this last year!

With that aside, I want to take a few moments to talk about this time of…

Mission: Flight Of The Valkyries
Posted on Sun Apr 5th, 2026 @ 8:57am by Sergeant Sina 'Stalker' Ravenna & Lieutenant Commander Nyxala Valentine

Having met with the Colonel, Sina decide it was time for her physical. Making her way down the corridors, see observed and analyzed everyone and everything with practised ease.

She was a hunter, a warrior, all data was important until proven otherwise. Over the years her people had lost their psionic abilities, relying more on their heightened senses for survival.

Sina was a pathfinder, she went in first to analyze the situation, locate threats and eliminate them, if required. She prepared and secured the insertion point for her fellow Marines utilize.

Entering Sickbay, she noted all exits and entrances, and…

Mission: Flight Of The Valkyries
Posted on Sat Apr 4th, 2026 @ 3:06pm by Lieutenant JG Tuhjer Mil

In the dim, amber glow of a Jeffries tube deep within the USS Tokyo, Tuhjer crawled on hands and knees toward a junction point, the metal grating beneath him vibrating faintly with the steady heartbeat of the ship. He hadn’t been aboard long and so to his disappointment, he was still stuck on maintenance duty. Not diagnostics on the bridge. Not warp field tuning in Main Engineering. Certainly nothing that resembled the excitement he’d imagined when he’d accepted the posting. No, he was elbow‑deep in the ship’s innards, crawling through cramped access spaces that smelled faintly of high energised particles,…

"Before you make that call..." Taiga said as she moved over towards the transporter pad. Slowly she lowered herself down and sat on its edge taking the weight off of her feet. "If you have engaged the Heralds before. You'll know they are ruthless. They are not here for peace, they are not here to conquer. They are here for one thing and one thing only. Extermination." Taiga told him. "We've lost millions in only a couple of weeks. Whole colonies have been destroyed, whole cultures wiped out with no remorse, no guilt, no sign of them stopping."

Taiga paused.…

[Transporter Room 3]

Taiga made her way down to the transporter room of the Tokyo. New orders from Starfleet Command had come through. The Tokyo was finally going to recieve a replacement compliment of Marines. With the war starting to escalate, more firepower was appreciated and it helped put the captains mind at ease.

The transporter room was quiet as per usual.

"Captain." the Transporter operator greeted her. "The transporter operator aboard the Graf Zepplin has confirmed that the Lieutenant Colonel is ready to beam over. Standing by for transport."

Taiga nodded. "Energise."

The familiar swirling blue lights of the…

Captain Kushieda stood in the transporter room of the USS Armitage. A few seconds later the transporter purred into life and several figure began to emerge on the pad. After a few seconds, she looked up at the officers from the Tokyo.

"Welcome aboard the Armitage." She greeted them. "I take it you're all prepared?"

Hunt nodded to the Captain as he stepped off the transporter pad. "Yes, ma'am."

"Ready as we will ever be Captain." As he walked up to the Captain. "Thomas Johnson, I will be leading the team over to the freighter. Hopefully bringing everyone back safely."…

My Dearest Joran,

I’m writing to you from the small confines of my new quarters aboard the USS Tokyo. I’ve just finished unpacking some of my boxes (including that little holo-frame you gave me on Trill) and I thought of you halfway through stowing away my tool kit. The Tokyo’s corridors are a little narrower than I remember the Republic’s, but the hum of the engines is every bit as reassuring. I’ve already found my favorite view—on Deck…

Air Boss' Personal Log,

With the unexpected arrival of Admiral Miyahara, my old CO, I find myself in an awkward position: The crew of the Tokyo are counting on me to do the right thing and help them fight this, but at the same time, I can't in good conscience disagree with the man who has become my mentor. To do so would alienate myself from not only him but the friends I still have aboard his ship.

I still consider the Myogi my home, and her crew my family, contrary to the Tokyo where everyone is quick to make…

Security Officer's Log,

I've spent only a short time back aboard the USS Tokyo, and already things are getting rough.

A few minutes ago, I kicked the Marine CO, and his XO out of my office.

They intimidated one of my officers, lied about why they were here, laughed when ordered to attention, and proceeded to insult me.

I can see things just haven't really changed here...

Air Boss' log;

Gosh, how weird it is to open like that, but since I lost the Second Officer's commission, I can no longer open these logs as normal. Perhaps I'm going to stop doing them...

Oh, boy, what a day it has been! It has been a week and a half today...

For starters, the briefing went horribly wrong: My plan for building trust and camaraderie with the pilots went south fast. Some pilot decided he didn't like what I was planning on doing, and called me many things in front of the CO, and I counted at least…

Captains Log

Its been a hard day on the Tokyo, especially for me. Our orders were simple, report to the outpost to pick up some classified information. I was not expecting my old first officer waiting for me there. At first I believed she was stationed on the outpost, but when she told me that she was my replacement Chief of Security I could have freaked out. Luckily I didn't.

I've still been having those awful nightmares about her ever since we encountered that virus made by the Cardassians. That was all quickly swept under the rug wasn't it. No…
