Captains Log. Captain Taiga Aisaka - Starship Tokyo.
Its been Three Weeks since the Tokyo was 'ejected' from the Iconian Dyson Sphere. The Sphere itself somehow 'jumped' from the Andromeda Galaxy to the Iconia System. It now looms over what was once their old homeworld, right in the middle of the Romulan Neutral Zone.
Of course this has caused some major concern not just from The Federation, but the Romulans and even the Klingons. Any attempts at contacting the Iconians has gone ignored. Any probes to enter the system have been destroyed. Three days ago a Romulan Warbird attempting to gather intelligence under cloak was discovered and destroyed by the Heralds. Even the Romulan Cloaking Device offer's no protection against them.
According to Starfleets latest reports, Herald ships continue to emerge from the Dyson Sphere. We now estimate over Forty Six thousand Herald Ships are present in the Iconia System, probably more. They have enough firepower to take on every power in the Alpha Quadrant.
There has been some drastic changes aboard the Tokyo. In anticipation of all out war, Starfleet has sent out new experimental technology and 'toys' as the crew call them, for us to use. This new uniform is much more than just fabric. It has poly-fibers that absorb energy. It's a sort of fabric armour to protect the wearer. I had security test it out, the results are impressive. Our old uniform took one, maybe two shots before breaking through. These new ones, took six at least before breaking. These offer so much more protection, I don't know where Starfleet has been hiding these for so many years.
On top of that, this uniform also comes with the addition of a personal shield generator. The generator is built into the belt buckle. When turned on it provides a skin tight energy forcefield around the body to protect you even more. Of course its not perfect, but it still provides even more protection. It seems that Starfleet are anticipating a situation where we will less ship to ship combat and more ground and surface combat.
On addition to this, Starfleet want all civilians to be removed from all starships. However this is up to the ships Commanding Officer. As Commanding Officer of the Tokyo, I have advised all civilians to be removed from this ship. This ship will likely be sent on the front lines, and I am not putting any children in danger. I only hope that once my child is born, I can send him/her back to Earth with Ryuuji whilst I remain here. Thats if the Iconians give us enough time...
Speaking of families, the Shimada's have left the ship. It is far safer for Alice to be on Earth or elsewhere as the threat level escalates. This of course leaves me down a Marine Commander. Doctor Ellis has also been reassigned. This leaves me short not only on my Marine Commander, but Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Science and Chief Engineer. Hopefully Starfleet will send replacement soon.
The Tokyo didn't take much damage from the time in the Dyson Sphere. However over six million terraquads of data have been discovered in our primary computer core. What is strange is that it is all in Iconian, and Commander Nishikiji and Lieutenant Nezuko have been working around the clock to access and translate the information. That information we have passed onto Starfleet Command. I am unsure how that information ended up in our computers, my only guess is that M'Tara somehow planted it before she passed. I don't think we'll ever know.
Right now the Tokyo is located at Starbase 234. Rear Admiral Tempest has requested for Commander Johnson and I to be attend a mission briefing in his office this afternoon. That request was hand delivered by his person yeoman and marked as classified. Surely that can't be good.
Tensions are rising, and things are changing, not just here on the Tokyo, but across the entire galaxy. I guess only time will tell...
End Log.
